Who We Are
Southern Son Designs was started in August of 2019 in the small Bladen County town of Dublin, NC. We're just a small town family, creating memorable products for other small town folks, like us. Woodworking was a passion of my father's and this is our way to honor the man that he was. Small, Simple, and Southern.
I decided to start this little woodworking business partly to honor my daddy. It’s because of him, that I am able to do this. He was a loving, hardworking, and simple man. He had a passion for woodworking, and he really enjoyed creating beautiful pieces of furniture, in his spare time. It’s in our blood, I guess you could say. My granddaddy was a great carpenter, he would build boats, cabinets, and furniture as well. My great-grand daddy was also a carpenter, he built guitars & furniture. Me, I’m no carpenter like them, but I enjoy wood working and making things. My daddy taught me so many things in life and I’m grateful that by God’s grace, this is something I can do that reminds me of him...it keeps a part of him with me. From the ashes of tragedy, beauty will rise. May the Lord continue to bless us all, in Christ.
